Augusto Abbarchi is the Senior Vice President of the newly combined Premium Engagements (SAP MaxAttention and Safeguarding) Sales and Maintenance Go-to-Market team for SAP, responsible for the operation and growth of the company's overall maintenance business. In this role Augusto leverages market best practices and global processes to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and value from the world-class SAP support offerings.

Since 2011, Augusto was EMEA COO. Prior to accepting this role, Augusto served as VP EMEA GFO Task Force (Coaching/Interim of MU management positions). His last interim mission was Managing Director of SAP Belux.

Augusto joined SAP in 1998 as FIAT Global Account Manager before being Responsible for the Business Unit Manufacturing. Then he held several positions : Sales Director and SW Volume Business Southern Europe Director before serving as Managing Director of SAP Italia for 5 years. Prior joining SAP, Augusto started working in the SW business by buying out the Italian branch of GSI Industry, a company that served out a MRPII product called Tolas. When GSI Industry became part of BDM Group/Largotim which served out MFG/Pro (an ERP product), he was appointed Commercial Director.

He started his career in FIAT Group (Sesam) as a consultant in Computer Integrated Manufacturing before serving as Product Manager for robotics in a leader company specialized in automated lines.

Augusto Abbarchi holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Florence and a master degree in Business Management Engineering from the MIP (Politecnico, Milan).
