Vice President, Global Services Sales
Sophia Williams is Vice President, Global Services Sales for NCR. In this position, she is responsible for growing NCR’s $2.5B Services business worldwide. She leads the Global Services Sales organization, comprised of Services sales professionals in all Theaters.
Prior to joining NCR, Sophia was the Worldwide Vice President for Services Sales in Avaya, and was accountable for the continued growth of a $2.0B + annual global services revenue stream across all Theaters, through both a direct Sales force and through Avaya channels.
Previously as Chief Marketing Officer, Avaya Global Services, Sophia transformed the traditional market position of services into a complete continuum of Services Solutions to include professional and consulting services, integration services, remote management services, and operations services. Sophia has served in various general management, sales, services, and customer care leadership positions over her career. She led customer care for Lucent Technologies’ Enterprise Division. She also served as General Manager for the Small Business Division of AT&T.
She has a reputation as an innovative, high-energy leader who achieves significant growth in challenging environments, as well as a strong performance record in business reengineering, turn-around ventures, building new businesses, and creating a high-performance growth culture. Under her leadership, her organizations have received numerous awards—ranging from Quality to Marketing / Sales Innovation to Industry Best Practices.
Throughout her career, Sophia has also assisted other organizations through best practice consulting, including Walt Disney World and the Federal Reserve Bank. She has also served in several board positions, and is a founding member of the Service Executive Industry Board, an influential group of Services executives in the technology sector.
